Note 91
One of the darker, more traditional-styled rosés from the region (where the trend has been toward lighter and lighter-hued wines), Mas des Bressades' 2017 Costieres de Nimes Rose Cuvée Tradition is a blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 20% Cinsault. It remains a standard-bearer for the region, showing plenty of texture and complexity. Subtle  floral and dried spice notes accent berry fruit, it's medium-bodied and silky, finishing long, refreshing and stony. And the price remains a bargain. What more could you want?"

Pale yellow with golden reflections, this wine has a very limpid color. It has an intense  nose  of white peach and almonds flowers and a great  complexity  in  the mouth. Grenache blanc brings minerality, viognier aromas of apricot and peach and Marsanne remains more floral.  A fresh attack characteristic of Roussanne supports this aromatic complexity by bringing citrus notes and a mineral touch. Very pleasant.

From the first vines planted in the 1970s by my father Roger Marès, it was the first wine he produced on the estate and which made him known. A deep purple color testifies to the richness of this wine. A powerful nose in which scents of oriental spices, cocoa, cherries and Cuban cigar blend elegantly. The original blend of this wine, which has both the finesse and roundness of Syrah, reinforced by the structure of Cabernet-Sauvignon makes it a great wine. We advise you to wait 2 to 5 years before drinking it, and if you have the patience to wait longer, in 10 to 15 years, it will reveal its full potential.

Grape varieties: Cabernet-Sauvignon 70%, Syrah 30%.
Terroir: Pebbles Rolled from the Rhône.
Vinification: 5 week alcoholic fermentation followed by a short period of aging in concrete vats, before the wine is aged for one year in oak barrels (new and one wine), during which it carries out its fermentation malolactic.
Food & Wine pairings: This pretty bottle will go wonderfully with your spicy or characterful dishes.
